HappyTails kennels were established in 1998 by Lavinia Steer, when she bred the first litter of Welsh Terriers from her foundation bitch, Wyrehill Happy Day (Pretty).
From the very beginning, the offspring made by "HappyTails" were all very successful, starting a dinasty of champions, both in Welsh Terriers and Airedale Terriers.
Over the years, some quality imports were added to the family, from some of the best bloodlines available in the world (Purston, Felstead, Saredon, High Flyer's, Bismarckquelle, Terydale).
The efforts were well paid off, as HappyTails Terriers entered the elite of the terrier world, through beautiful dogs that earned championships all over the world (in random order: Romania, Moldavia, Macedonia, Hungary, Poland, Russia, Estonia, Belgium, Holland, Germany, France, Italy, Luxembourg, Monaco, Belarus, Israel, Serbia, Slovakia, Austria, Spain, USA, Canada, Australia, Argentina).
The total of champions was not yet countered, as HappyTails Terriers is not about statistics, but about true quality and love for these terrier breeds.
Unlike other breeders, Lavinia Steer often had the generosity of letting the best puppies produced to the right people. The reward was the beautiful reputation that success doesn't mean bigger income for the sale of the puppies, but enlarging a family, a comunity of friends for life.
At this very moment, HappyTails kennels consist of 9 Welsh Terriers and 2 litters of puppies.
